About a week and a half ago, I was lucky enough to undergo PRK surgery to correct my vision. I was only a little nervous and very thankful that my dad could be in the room to keep an eye on the proceedings. The surgery took about five minutes for both eyes and it was super easy. The recovery process was supposed to be the hard part, but it was just as easy as the surgery. I basically slept for about two days and thankfully had no discomfort at all.
About five days after the surgery I could see as well as I could when I used to wear contacts and my eyesight will continue to improve for the next three to six months. Since the surgery, I have been in total awe of the marvels of modern technology. It is crazy that in five little minutes, a surgeon can use a laser to enable my eyes to see clearly and completely change my life. What a miracle! I am so thankful for this wonderful gift:)
