A Brack Fall via the iPhone

I was looking at Josh's iPhone pictures the other day and realized there have been several events that have not been documented on our little blog. The pictures have been tucked away and forgotten on his phone.

Until now that is.

Here is a quick wrap up of some of our fun and funny adventures this fall...

Josh volunteered at the Louisville Ironman. I thought this would be a very cool experience and was more than a little jealous...

...until I heard that he and his cohorts were assigned the uncomfortable task of assisting racers in the men's locker room that was at the transition point from biking to running. These guys had just swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles, and were preparing to run a marathon. They were a blistered, sweaty, and stinky bunch. Several of them asked the volunteers to help them smear vaseline in their arm pits....and other places.

Sick.

Needless to say, Josh made himself scarce during those awful moments. He had to dodge the line of fire from a racer who starting throwing up right next to him. He left the event quite scarred from the smells and sights of helping hundreds of racers strip down, vaselinify themselves, get dressed, eat, and hydrate before finishing the race.

Gross!

Josh is taking a sports facilities class this semester and one of the perks was a free behind the scenes tour of the brand new, state of the art, Louisville Basketball arena, the KFC YUM Center.  So cool!

Late in the fall we were able to go to a Friday night Louisville Cardinals Football Game with some friends. We started the evening with dinner at our house. Josh even borrowed an outdoor grill and cooked up some fine bbq chicken. The weather was perfectly crisp and cool. The team played their hearts out while we cheered them on.

We all enjoyed one student's interpretation of the Cardinal mascot. Love it!

While UT will always be number one, we still find some love in our hearts for our Louisville Cards.

A fall highlight for Josh has been playing on a inter-mural flag football team with his fellow Sports Administration students. I got to go watch their final game when they won the championship. Josh was named team MVP due to his dedication and awesome defensive skills, plus the fact that he scored all the points in the championship game! I am so proud:)

Josh's internship paid off well when he got two tickets to the first basketball game that Louisville played in their new stadium. He even scored season ticket parking passes so we could park under the stadium in a premium lot. It was a super fun spur of the moment date night!

Now I am off to finish my LAST final exam. I have to turn it in before midnight, then I am free as a bird for winter break! Hooray for Christmas!!
