It's a Brack Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a welcome break at the Brack home. We celebrated by procrastinating on our homework. It was awesome.

Seriously, awesome.

To keep ourselves busy not doing homework, Josh decided to make a pumpkin pie from a real pumpkin, as in, not the canned stuff.

I kept busy by watching him work and cheering him on while he scraped out all those pumpkin seeds and pureed things.

He did a fabulous job.

We were both excited and it was pretty hard to wait to eat it til after our Thanksgiving feast.

On Thanksgiving Day, we slept in, then we watched the parade while we made corn casserole. Josh's Aunt Joanne has a delicious recipe. It is full of corn. Creamed corn, whole kernel corn, and cornbread, just throw in some buttery goodness and voila! A perfect addition to any meal.

We loaded up our pie, casserole, and some drinks and headed over to the Rutherford's house for Thanksgiving lunch. Way and Amy have been great friends to us through our move here.
They have two sweet boys, Miles and Davis. They are super cute. Miles and Josh are great friends:)

We had to get a Thanksgiving family picture too...maybe we can photoshop Shiner in...

Miles is such a cutie!

Amy made the Thanksgiving works, it was an amazing spread. Our delicious meal was followed by delicious seconds which was, of course, followed by two decadent desserts. We had to sit on the couch for quite awhile to recover.

We even got to take leftovers home. Thanksgiving leftovers are the BEST leftovers. MMmmm!

On our way home, we picked up a newspaper to check out the black friday sales. We talked big about getting up at 6AM to go see what we could find.

We may have done that.

Or maybe we got up at 10AM instead.
