Christmas Day Wonder

Christmas morning always holds special wonder and magic.

The beautiful tree, the fun of presents, the joy of being with family, the celebration of our Savior.

Decorations, sparkly lights

Silly husbands

He really raked in the goods this year.

So did Shiner.

I had been keeping these tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld a secret since before Thanksgiving. Secrets are not a little hard for me to keep, especially the fun ones. This happy face was totally worth the wait!

Daddy got a hat just like the one Grandpa Briggs used to wear. It was good to remember him on this special day.

The story behind this next gift is pretty wonderful. Mom played the flute in high school and was very good. Music has always given her great joy. Some life changes and challenges caused her to set her music aside before she reached college. My dad had the sweet thought this year that she might like to have a flute, to re-kindle an old passion. She was very surprised and overwhelmed by his wonderful thoughtfulness. What a personal and healing gift.

We all cried happy tears with her. This truly set the bar high for thoughtful and meaningful Christmas presents....oh boy.

I got lots of wonderful Christmas presents too, but I was the only one taking pictures Christmas morning, thus there are none of me.

The numerous photos documenting our holiday vacation attest to my love for the new camera lens my sweet husband gave me. What a guy:)
