As an only child, the Lord provided by bringing many sweet girl friends in my life who were like sisters to me, childhood playmates, college friends, cousins...all women who are an integral part of my existence. Their encouragement, love, support, and friendship is such a gift.
But the Lord couldn't settle for such wonderful blessings of friendship. He gave me even more. He is just that fabulous. His love is so great.
When He gave me my wonderful Josh, He also gave me a sister.
So amazing, my heart is overwhelmed at the wonder of such a gift.
Over Christmas break, I had the opportunity to go wedding dress shopping with my sweet sister and mother in law, who I am also incredibly thankful for. We had the best time. Nakita and I sipped mimosas while Callie tried on beautiful designer gowns.
Every dress was beautiful, Callie was gorgeous, yet none of them were quite a Callie dress. One that completely fit her personality, her taste, just her.
And then, she found it.
The second she put it on and we caught a glimpse her face, framed by a beautiful veil, nothing could have stopped the tears. What a special moment. This was the one. Her wedding dress. It screamed Callie, perfect in every way. Simple, elegant, stunningly beautiful.
Suddenly, a bride stood before us.
Bring out the tissues.
And the champagne.
Just look at those happy faces. I love it.
The icing on the cake was the incredible deal we got due to the Sample Sale. Amazing. What a perfect day.
I am so thankful for Callie, my sister. I am so thankful that I got to be there when she found her wedding dress. We are thrilled to be a part of her wedding in June. We can't wait to spend time with Callie and her Matt in the future and see what the Lord has in store for them!
Love you sister!
