Frittatas and Folded Laundry

I am an easily overwhelmed person.

Especially when faced with change, however wonderful it may be. Trying to finish the semester in the midst of an impending move, a whirlwind out of town trip, trying to get our dog to KY, changes at work, and on and on, became an insurmountable task on Friday afternoon.

I felt paralyzed and unable to start on any one thing because I was so overwhelmed by the long list of to dos.

Have you ever been there?

My husband is now well versed in how to treat the symptoms of an overwhelmed Amanda. He talked me through it and then took me shopping. I was miraculously healed almost instantly.

Saturday morning he helped me make two frittatas that I had to take to a 10AM wedding shower. Imagine my sweet hunny in his PJs and an apron sleepily blending two dozen eggs in the blender and monitoring the tricky baking process while I got ready. When I was away at the shower he cleaned the whole house and folded laundry. While I wrote a paper on Saturday evening he made french bread (yes, from scratch) and a spaghetti dinner. I mean seriously, how lucky can a girl get?!

His daily actions continually remind me of his love. His words remind me that we will get through all that is ahead of us, one thing at a time, together. Insert a deep sigh of happiness.

  1. How sweet is he?! I love that our husbands know just what to do when our to-do lists become just a bit too long for our own good. :)
