Confidence

Confidence has been in short supply at the Brack home this summer. Yet, this challenging season of life has given us a unique opportunity to live out our faith. To survive in these often trying days, we are slowly learning to place all our trust in the Lord. Not in ourselves, our abilities, our accomplishments, our jobs. But in the Lord.

He alone is the source of our confidence and hope!

 Through this season of growing pains, a new understanding of thankfulness is blooming in our hearts. We see with clarity the enormity of His daily provisions. What a mighty God we serve!

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8

  1. "Great is Thy faithfulness," O God my Father,
    There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
    Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
    As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
    "Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"
    Morning by morning new mercies I see;
    All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
    "Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!
    Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
    Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
    Join with all nature in manifold witness
    To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
    Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
    Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
    Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
    Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
