Lately

One thing we have been doing lately is enjoying our Friday's off this summer. Yes, just like last summer, I get two and a half months of Fridays to enjoy thanks to working for a great seminary that knows how to love their employees. Thanks LPTS!

With my extra time I was able to pick up a little more freelance work including some social media marketing for a local bookshop right down the street from our home. What? How much fun could that be? 

So. much. FUN!

The owners of A Reader's Corner Bookstore are just the most darling couple ever and they simply love their community and their books. They have created a shop full of warmth, friendliness, and joy. Here are two prime examples.

Meet Magnus, the bookstore dog. He is a bit shy, but warms up after some good ear rubbing.

Does it get much better than that? I didn't think it was possible...but it DOES.  I get to work for the bookshop of my dreams. They have a monthly children's story time where every child gets to pick a FREE book to take home. Rocking chairs are ready and waiting on the front porch to provide a comfy place to sit and rest or browse the discount book cart. They have a book nook for little readers fitted with little chairs, comfy stuffed bears, and plenty of storybooks to enjoy. The shelves are floor to ceiling and line the whole shop, truly a book lovers paradise. I am in heaven:)

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this little shop's existence!
