We had a beautiful Easter weekend and birthday celebration for Josh's mom. Josh's parents flew in on Thursday for a visit from Amarillo and unbeknown to Nakita, Callie had already flown in from Jackson as a wonderful birthday surprise. What a happy and emotional moment when Callie jumped out of the car at the airport.
On Thursday, before the parental arrival, Callie and I made a chocolaty chocolate Barefoot Contessa birthday cake.
The first night we obliterated the cake...it was delicious!
We spent a restful Easter weekend at the Briggs casa snuggling Shiner...
opening birthday presents....
coloring Easter eggs (we experimented with rubber bands this year!)...
playing poker....
and taking family pictures:)
