Birthday Fun

Top ten things from my 24th year:

10. Celebrating the holidays with my Josh, enjoying the season of romance as newlyweds.

9. Wedding dress shopping, truly my favorite part of the wedding planning process. Frills, lace, satin, the perfect fit. My mom cried happily, I felt transformed into a princess.

8. Adopting Shiner Girl, she is such a love:) She is silly and snuggly, wiggly and wild. She loves us so much, she waits for Josh to come home everyday. Around five o'clock, every time she hears a door open downstairs she runs to our front door and waits...is it him?!

7. Hearing Josh tell me he loves me for the first time...it felt like fireworks were going off inside my heart, so wonderful. He is my love, my comfort, my home.

6. The day Josh came home from Ukraine, he had been gone for ten loong days. Not a big deal, but we couldnt communicate at all..no phone or email. Still, not such a huge deal...unless you consider that this seperation revealed to both of us that we didnt want to live without eachother...EVER!

5. The glorious moment that Josh burst through the library doors, arms full of flowers, declared his undying love and gave me a sparkling diamond ring. Celebration, love, happiness, joy, excitement, anticipation, a new life ahead...together.

4. Seeing Josh for the first time on our wedding day. All fears, stresses, and worries vanished as soon as I saw his hopeful face. In those stolen moments, he prayed for us, made me feel loved and beautiful, and filled every cell of my being with the assurance that our marriage was blessed.

3. The joyful celebration of our wedding; friends, family, happiness, everything in slow motion yet speeding by, my heart finally finding home....at last.

2. Our relaxing jaunt to Fredericksburg for our honeymoon. We walked quiet main street in the cool Christmasy weather, shopped for whimsical treasures to make our home homey, ate delicious food...chocolate cake, lobster bisque, fabulous ravioli, scallop pasta, and more...we felt like somebody in Luckenbach Texas, toured Texas Wineries and tasted lots of yummy wine, slept in and woke up to a delicious breakfast in a basket by our door...perfection indeed!

1. Enjoying the past five months of happily ever after with Josh!!!

My heart is so thankful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
