After an early run with Shiner, Josh took me to a yummy brunch at a romantic local french bakery. It was the most perfect ever....our senses were overwhelmed by delicious smells of brioche, pastries, and chocolate. We were greeted by a beautiful older woman with a heavy french accent...if a life of baking and eating french pastries makes me look like that when I am older, bring it on! We sat at a little table by the window with the glorious morning sun streaming in. I had a quiche lorraine and Josh had a ham and cheese croissant, both delicate yet rich and full of flavor. Every taste was heavenly and I can't wait to go back!
We spent the rest of the day shopping for home stuff, wandering target, enjoying an afternoon movie date, and finishing it off with a wonderful celebration dinner with friends. Several special friends joined us at Stefanias, one of the best Italian places in SA. Stefanias is uniquely defined by delicious home-made pasta, quirky atmosphere, delightful people, live music, and belly dancers...quite a combination of details. I love Stefanias unusualness. It is the perfect place for a long relaxing meal and good conversation. Two of my favorite things:) Afterwards we came home for wine and a berry tart...the perfect ending!
The celebration continued today for Mother's day...love you mom! It is so special to celebrate both my mom and Josh's mom. We are so thankful to have such wonderful families and moms!! Happy Mother's Day!
