We celebrated Josh's 26th birthday this past Sunday with a four day holiday weekend. We started birthday festivities by driving out to my parent's house to house-sit and take care of their two puppies. On the way we stopped at Fralo's Pizza to get a delicious take n' bake pie. All San Antonio residents must eat pizza here once in their lives. It is fantastic!
On Saturday we drove out to Fredericksburg to meet our friends Paul and Mandi at Rather Sweet, a bakery and cafe where we had a very yummy lunch followed by two ridiculous chocolate volcano creations.
I still have dreams about it.
Here we are tasting yummy wine right out of the barrel in at Grape Creek Vineyards in Fredericksburg! Josh got to pull the wine out of the barrel with a funny little contraption called a wine thief.
We learned all about the differences between French and American barrels and got to taste the difference between wine from a used barrel vs. a new barrel. Yum!
Here we all are after lots of delicious tastes!! What a fun day!
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, watching movies, and playing with the dogs. Shiner thinks she is in heaven when she gets to go visit Pepper. He is a cutie and so fun to play with!
