After a couple of days in Wenatchee we drove about twenty minutes to the small mountain town of Leavenworth. This alpine town was transformed from a logging town into a German town in the sixties to increase tourism. The ENTIRE town now has a German aesthetic. It is both humorous and weird. We LOVED it:)
Josh made fast friends with a friendly, yet quiet, German gentleman.
We spent five whole days hiking along the river, napping, putt putt golfing, and enjoying the wonderful views. One evening we went to a little pub and played cards, so fun:)
Grandpa Bob taught Josh and I some photography skills on our fancy camera and then took some silly shots of us too:)
The views around this quirky little town were spectacular!
I also had to get in way more than my fair share of my FAVORITE ice cream flavor in the universe, only available in the Northwest, Tillamook Marionberry Pie. Delicious!

We had a great time in this funny little place. We can't wait to go back in the years to come!!

I see a Christmas card in the making.
