Date Night

Getting back into the groove of work after the fun holiday season can be a challenge. That is why frequent date nights are a must.

Last night, we shared fajitas for two (thanks Groupon!) at Sol Azteca. Today we enjoyed the leftovers for lunch...bonus. 

After stuffing our bocas we headed downtown for The Civil Wars concert. Wahooo!!

Per usual, we were early and filled our time played a round of twenty questions. We both lost, who knew a bumble bee and Barbaro could be so tricky.

The Staves opened the show and we were blown away. For whatever reason, the name of the band had us expecting some grungy dudes. Instead, three lovely young British ladies emerged and blended their sisterly voices in beautiful harmony.  If you check them out (and I think you should) prepare to be enchanted.

After about a 20 minute intermission, with rising anticipation, Joy Williams and John Paul White walked out from the wings and blew us away. Their individual voices are incredible, when blended, divine. It was an hour and a half of beauty, whimsy, humor, and happiness. I hope we get the chance to enjoy this delightful duo again someday!
