Over the Weekend

Last weekend we enjoyed a visit from Callie and Matt. Hooray!! We were afraid it might fall through due to weather and were so glad that they were able to make it. 

For whatever reason, I took zero pictures of people. Could this be because I need a haircut and tried to avoid pictures of myself at all cost? Perhaps.

We went over to the historic Louisville Water Tower to take in a view of the Ohio River and learn something new about our fair city.

Then we walked along the river and took in the seaside sights and sounds...and smells.

The cold cold wind cut our walk rather short, but we did manage to see some frozen little plants...poor little guys covered in an icy coat. Just the thought makes me shivery.

The bridge in the background was a collaboration between Louisville and Indiana. Unfortunately, Indiana lost interest once Louisville had completed their portion. You can walk across the river from Louisville, then you must turn right around and come back since the bridge simply ends, remaining unfinished...

All in all, it was a fun weekend with family! Hope we can get together again soon!
