Our holidays were a bit of a whirlwind with travels spanning the country from Washington to Texas. We logged over 7,000 miles!
I was not the best at posting regularly, so here it all is in one fell swoop of pictures.

Over Thanksgiving we were lucky enough to join in the celebration of my Grandma Briggs 80th Birthday Party. Her whole family and many friends came from far and wide to celebrate her and honor her wonderful life and legacy. We love her so.
It was very good to spend time with her and my parents that week. We had a renewing time of fellowship, rest, and fun.
Once we got home we hit the ground running with
finals, work, and life. We were pretty worn out by the time Josh finished his exams. We celebrated and recuperated with a stay-cation. Words cannot describe how divine it was to sleep in, rest, and relax the day away. We started the morning with holiday beverages by the lights of the Christmas tree.
Then we made quick homemade donuts, delicious and easy. After stuffing our faces, we snuggled up with Shiner for a holiday movie marathon that lasted most of the day. By evening it was time to venture out. We grouponed some Papalinos Pizza and spontaneously went to see a late showing of The Muppets.
Over the next several weeks we savored the season and enjoyed Christmas at home, together.
Before leaving town, we exchanged gifts for each-other and received lots of fun little things we wouldn't have bought for ourselves but very much wanted. Yes, Josh wanted the iron gym. It is currently installed on our bedroom door and he does pull ups practically every time he passes by. What a stud! I try, but can only pull up about an inch centimeter.
We headed to Amarillo on the 22nd and for some reason I pretty much stopped taking pictures. I think maybe my brain got a little fuzzy after the 1,028 mile drive. I did manage to snap this fun shot of the bearded brothers in law...
And Shiner and her papa playing in the Christmas morning snow was just too much adorableness for a girl to handle.
We zipped home on the 30th, the drive was long but easy. Beautiful weather, good music, a sweet pup, and your best friend are the perfect ingredients for a road trip. We enjoyed a great New Year's Party with our Louisville church friends and were rested and refreshed when work on Tuesday rolled around. All in all, a wonderful and fun filled holiday season!

Grandma's official birthday is tomorrow! We are bringing her over to hang out and have dinner then taking her to a concert.
