Last week, we hosted Josh's cousin Jonathan while he was in Louisville for the Together for the Gospel conference held at the KFC Yum Center. This conference is geared towards pastors with the goal of encouraging pastors of diverse denominations to cling to the gospel of Christ. On Thursday night, the last night of the conference, Jonathan invited us to join him for the final gathering. What a blessing to join over 7,500 individuals, mostly pastors, in singing classic hymns of praise. Josh and I were both brought to tears, our hearts so encouraged by the faithful worship of so many servants of the Lord.
The speaker that night, introduced by Albert Mohler, was John Piper. I had read some of his works but never heard him in person. He was engaging, poetic, and delivered a beautiful message. I will definitely be taking advantage of his sermons freely offered on his website.
You can listen or watch his message, or any others from the conference, on the T4G website.
Piper focused on the end of Jude and his message was so encouraging!

Jude 20-21, 24-25
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only god our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen
