We had the pleasure of a wonderful visit from Josh's parents last weekend. We started the long weekend off right with an afternoon at the races. This low key event at Churchill Downs was much more my pace compared to the Kentucky Derby. There were about 79,000 people less than at the Derby. And we had seats...in the shade. Praise Jesus.
Nakita and I started the afternoon off right by trying some Derby drinks, A Pink Lady and a Mint Julep.
We enjoyed walking back and forth between the paddock where the horses were saddled up and then back to race track to see them run. Here I am with my Graduate!

A day at the Downs was the perfect way to kick off our Kentucky weekend and graduation celebrations!
