Josh's Girlie Day

While wandering the Farmers Market a week ago, Josh and I happened into the nearby Aveda Institute and ended up making appointments for pedicures. This lovely little place is a fabulous discovery due to pocket friendly prices. This was Josh's first indulgence into the wonderful world of pedicures. He had mentioned several times in the past that he was interested in it and on Saturday he mustered up the courage and gave it a go. This is him pretending not to enjoy it.

It was a fabulous day to be at the Farmers Market. Celebrations were underway for the extension of the river walk. Everything was decorated for the fun, bands were playings, and people were out in droves to join the party. It was bustling, colorful, festive, and so San Antonio.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Texas Farm to Table. They try to get as many Texas grown ingredients as possible....yumm!!!!!!!

Josh's girlie day continued into the afternoon. As if getting a pedicure was not enough of a leap into the mysterious world of women, Josh came with me to a couples baby shower for my friend Karin.

We had such a fun time at The Cove, a local bar that serves the best sweet potato fries in town.

This game was a highlight of the shower. The object was to see who could drink beer out of a sippy cup the fastest. Later the guys had to shove pillows in their shirts and play Twister!

Overall, I think Josh was pleasantly surprised by the experiences of the day. Maybe we will even go get another pedicure together soon....maybe:)

  3. Silly Simi is dying for a pedicure too but I think they would throw a fit if they saw his toes!

Have you two been walking on the new part of the riverwalk yet (right behind the Pearl Brewery)? It's awesome! Let's go for a walk when you get back.
