Florida and August

Things have picked up these past couple of weeks in the Brack household! The slow summer days have quickly turned into an August frenzy. Last week, Josh and I went to Austin to visit our friends, Paul and Mandi. Shiner had a crazy time playing with Huck, their Old English Bulldog. He is the same height, but about forty pounds heavier. Shiner was soaking wet after every encounter due to Huckleberry's excessive slobbering. She was able to look past this minor problem and they quickly became best friends.

Josh returned on Sunday from being a groomsman in a friend's wedding in Seaside, Florida.

I returned to work this week after enjoying the summer off. It is good to have a routine and more purpose to my days...but I miss the freedom of summer! I am very busy at work getting prepared for students to return on August 17th. The lack of AC or internet has made my daily tasks a bit more difficult, but hopefully both will be working soon! The experience has made me VERY thankful for modern technology in San Antonio. Josh has a busy month ahead as students return to Trinity as well. He will be busy most evenings with various student events. We both are looking forward to September and life settling down a bit!
