Daylight, Daylight

We found a new home!! We signed and sent the lease this morning. We are so thankful to see the Lord continue to provide for our transition to Knoxville!!

We will be moving into a loft apartment located in the historic and newly restored Daylight Building. The property management company has done several renovations of other historic buildings in Knoxville and their work is lovely and modern.

Our friends Brian and Carri went to take a look before we signed the lease to make sure it was just right for us. Here is Carri showing off a room. The loft is scheduled to be completed in late July, just in time for us to move in during early August.

We are really excited about our brand new loft. It is perfectly located in downtown Knoxville, walking distance from the campus, coffee shops, and restaurants. The apartment will have wood floors, stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher (!!), and a washer/dryer unit in the bathroom (!!!!!!!). The loft will be pretty small which means the price is excellent and it is a fun excuse to buy new space saving furniture from Ikea.

Needless to say, we are really looking forward to starting this new adventure. So many couples have told us that their experiences living simply during grad school were some of their favorite memories together. What fun to share these special times with the hero of my heart!! I am so excited that he will be able to pursue his dream and get a wonderful education at UT.

The last piece in our transition is for me to find a good job. We have been working hard to find opportunities for me and I have been diligently applying. We are trusting that the Lord will continue to provide as He has so faithfully done thus far.
