Last week, Fall Football began.
In the Brack home, this is a truly monumental occasion.
Josh has loved football for as long as he can remember. I have been slowly but surely developing a "like" for football since I met Josh.
During the Boise vs. Virginia Tech game, my "like" for football turned into a full blown passion (maybe "double like" is a little more realistic than "passion"...but I am feeling optimistic!!) . Watching the Boise Broncos crush V-Tech sparked a flame inside me and I have a new appreciation for the wonders of football
Go Broncos!
I know Josh is so glad:)
We celebrated football's arrival in style by attending the University of Louisville's first home game in their newly renovated stadium. The sun was shining, the clouds were white and fluffy, and cool fall breezes made the sun's rays feel so cozy and warm.
Louisville was playing their biggest rival, University of Kentucky.
Boooo on the Kentucky Blue!!!!!!!!!
We headed over to the stadium about an hour before the game. The tailgaters were out in droves.
We wore our UofL shirts of course, to cheer on our Cardinals, but the Longhorns ALWAYS come first in the Brack home.
We bought season tickets and our student seats are with some friends which is great fun. The day was just perfect and we had a great time despite the wild antics of the frenzied fans.
The students were loud, crazy, and mostly trashed by the 3PM kickoff. We witnessed two fights break out near us. One between a UK and UofL fan. One between two UofL fans...
I was assured by our friend from Memphis that these shenanigans were nothing compared to some of the games she had been too. Wow.
While our team's performance was less than stellar... (they lost) ...
the band was fabulous!
The weather, the friends, and our shared love/double like of football made the day a wonderful way to welcome fall!!
Great pictures, Amanda!!! How fun for you all to be a part of the university.
