A Birthday in Pictures

When I walked in the door from work, these lovely flowers greeted me with a cheery hello, along with a kiss from my honey who was in the process of making me a margarita. He had picked up Shiner from the kennel that very afternoon so I gave her lots of hugs while I enjoyed my rita and opened presents.

Josh made me a delicious dinner of blackened salmon with a tasty Asian inspired sauce. We might have smoked out our apartment as well as the entire first floor of Threlkeld, but the end result was more than worth it:)

I was a very happy birthday girl. 

After stuffing our faces we took our Shiner girl for a nice long walk around campus. We mozy'd along, taking our time, playing with the camera, enjoying the effects of the rain on spring blooms.

Shiner made friends with a fountain.

And then she met The Thinker, now they are best buds.

We took a little break and enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

Well, I took a break while Shiner and Josh got their wiggles out.

Before we headed back home, Shiner got a little drink from a fountain that was just her size.

All in all, it was a perfectly wonderful birthday. I feel very ready for this new year ahead. I can't wait to see what new adventures it will bring!
