We arrived in Seattle at 10:30 AM local time and quickly set off to Pier 57 to meet my San Antonio friend Bekah who was in town to run a marathon.
A Gay Pride parade was in full swing by the time we got downtown which meant we had to park far far away and then dash through the middle of the parade to get to the pier. On our way through, I exchanged a friendly hello with a parader dressed only in a few pieces of leather ribbon. He was holding a leash attached to another parader's neck.
Apparently it was a day of spectacles.
We finally got to the Crab Pot and shared a wonderful meal with Bekah, two Trinity students who live in the northwest, and some of Bekah's friends. The food was delicious, the fellowship was sweet, and the scenery was Seattle at its best, overcast, cool, and lovely.
We walked off our crab bisque on the thousand stairs leading to Pikes Market, a place full of strange wonders and delights.
Stay tuned:)
Love reading about your Seattle adventures :) We were in Seattle about 3 years ago, and it is such a neat city!
