Fall is my favorite season of the year. The cool weather, the colorful trees, hot cider...I love it all. To celebrate the changing of the season, Josh took me out to our favorite orchard for Sunday lunch.
First, we checked out the huge pumpkins. Seriously, I think these are Cinderella worthy. One of these could totally turn into a carriage...
We had a delicious lunch that started with a fresh cheese and fruit plate followed by a sizzling thin crust pizza and topped off with wonderfully wonderful apple sangria. It even came with a cinnamon stick! Mmmmm...
The orchard had lots of fall things, pumpkins, gourds, apples, pies, fresh pumpkin donuts being fried on the spot, and much more. It was a taste of fall heaven.
Seriously.
After lunch, we drove through the Indiana hills and enjoyed the beautiful day and bright colors. Please forgive the excess of the following pictures. I just couldn't get enough of the beautiful trees!
On our way home, we were very very thankful that we went to the orchard for an early lunch. Apparently, everyone else in greater Kentuckiana area had our same idea...the line of cars kept going and going, this picture doesn't do that line justice! I like the old guy sitting in his lawn chair on the left...just chillin' and watching the crazy city folk lining up to pick their own apples and pumpkins at Huber's Orchard.
Hooray for cheese plates at a lovely orchard, driving through beautiful fall colors with a wonderful husband, fresh pumpkin donuts, apple sangria and all that is fall!!!!!

Beautiful colors!!!
